We recently placed the Director of Product Services at this firm and will work with him in recruiting and hiring this position.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the design, development, and support of websites including implementation of user interface designs, new functionality based on marketing requirements, and integrating software from external vendors/partners. The successful candidate will be part of a project team delivering solutions for internal and customer facing applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary resource for the development of web applications and services.
  • Responsible for end-to-end software development, from requirements analysis, thru design & implementation, and supporting of you're software during product validation and in the field.
  • Creates, builds and deploys scripts and procedures.
  • Implements features in a timely manner with excellent quality, based on requirements from Product Management.
  • Follows software development guidelines (version control, coding standards, best practices, security standards, branding, issue tracking/reporting), using and recommending technologies and frameworks that would best suit the functional requirements.
  • Works with external/ 3rd-party developers by integrating their final development deliverables into the production website.
  • Learns new programming languages and web techniques/technologies to keep the website relevant and current.
  • Effectively mentor junior developers and contractors.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • 4+ years of industry experience programming web-applications based on an ASP.NET platform, Visual C# and Visual Basic programming languages.
  • 4+ years experience creating and editing web pages, including directly working with HTML/XML code and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • 4+ years of JavaScript experience on a production website, developing web applications and services.
  • 4+ years experience with SQL database language and concepts.
  • Website management experience in deploying and maintaining a production website.
  • Full lifecycle of software development (from planning to maintenance).


Experience in the following highly desired (the more the better):

  • Object Oriented Analysis & Design. Strong engineering and design skills (e.g., efficient frameworks, patterns, reusability, etc.).
  • Agile Development Process including SCRUM.
  • Designing and developing with Visual Studio (version 2005 or later), custom Workflows, custom web parts, and custom Application Pages.
  • Developing tools to measure the performance of site pages and banner performance.
  • SQL Server (2005 or higher) with T-SQL extensions to create tables, stored procedures, views, and custom reports.
  • Windows OS environment using XP and Windows Server 2003/2008.
  • Windows .NET 4.0 Framework.
  • Power Shell-scripting utility.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (CS) 3.0 or 4.0, Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Configuring IIS 6.0/7.0 and application pools.
  • AJAX technologies (AJAX control toolkit and jQuery).
  • Web Security and Authentication/Certification (eCommerce, SSL, VeriSign/Thawte, etc).

Salary: 80k - 90k + Bonus Plan(up to 10%), + 401K Plan
