I am new here on the Dallas.net users' group.
I have recently made a lateral move within my company's development organization from a legacy technology (which I have 20+ years experience with) to .Net development, which includes C#, VBScript, HTML, XML, ASP, technologies I have learned recently in school but never used in real life.
Are there any tutorials out there that you could recommend to a newbie?
Welcome! It's been awhile since I dived into C# (I embraced it when it first came out), but the amount of info out on the 'net is amazing.
If you are like me, you like to see code in action and probably have some specific areas of need to address. I highly recommendcodeproject.com. The thing I like best about that site is that you will get an entire soution most of the time and can drop it in and play. I also often find good amounts of info at Stack Overflow.
Also if you have something specific, the forums are pretty good (another good use for Stack Overflow).
OK, that editor didn't make those links like I thought they would so I am giving it another go.

http://www.stackoverflow.com
OK, yeah - I used the anchor instead of the link.
