Junior Developer Part Time Position

Good afternoon...

I am trying to get my foot in the door at a company in the Dallas/Fort Worth area doing software development. I have always had a passion for software development and really enjoy working with software and learning programs inside and out. Unfortunately I have never been able to do this as a profession as I would like.

I have strong skills in system administration, end user support, advanced software support, SQL DBA and other technical skills. I feel as though I am a strong asset to any company I work for as I am a hard worker and dedicate myself to anything I set my mind to.

I would like to find a entry level development role. I have experience writing VB 6 programs and have worked with VB.NET and I am learning C#.NET for my final college class before I earn my degree. I have really enjoyed getting in depth with C# and would like to continue with the language. I have worked with SQL on the DBA side and have beginner to intermediate skills on the developer side. I am a very quick learner and feel that in the right environment with a little coaching and guidance I could be a truly great software developer. I am willing and eager to learn and not afraid to ask for help and also figure things out on my own. I am very detail oriented and have a great work ethic.

I am hoping to find something part time this summer as I have Thursday and Friday off from my full time job. I would really like to use this time to gain some experience.
