Riccione Resources, the Recruitment Firm with 25 years of experience, is actively searching for highly qualified Software Architect & Project Leader for a growing company. This is a ground floor opportunity and very important to the growth of the firm. The Company is comprised of 280 employees, has revenues of 100M with high profitability. Plan is to double revenue in the next few years, with your goal to assist in making it happen. We have recently placed the Director of Product Services at this firm and will be working with him in recruiting and hiring this position.

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing the technical vision, design, development, and support of web portal infrastructure and websites, including specifying new technologies and techniques, analyzing and refining requirements from Product Line Management, creating detailed designs, providing technical team leadership to internal and external development teams, and implementing new feature functionality. The successful candidate will be a key contributor within a project team delivering solutions for both internal and customer facing applications.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Primary technical leader for the development of web portal frameworks, web applications and web services. Define product roadmaps in regard to architecture, major feature functionality, and software platforms. Effectively mentor other developers on the team.

  • Innovation: Constantly seek and implement methods to move the team and product forward in terms of technology, relevancy, effectiveness, and efficiency (through new modes of operation, process changes, new programming languages, and the innovative use of tools and technologies). Identify opportunities and implement strategies that add value to the business and contribute to delivering a more robust product that meets customer needs.

  • Software Development: Responsible for end-to-end software development, from requirements analysis, thru design & implementation, and ultimately to supporting of your software during product validation and in the field. Will also work with external/ 3rd-party developers by integrating their final development deliverables into the production website. Follows all software development guidelines (version control, coding standards, best practices, security standards, branding, issue tracking/reporting), using and recommending technologies and frameworks that best suit the functional requirements.


  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

    • Past experience as a technical expert of a software development team.

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a software architect/senior designer role, leading successful, technically-oriented software projects.

    • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience programming web-applications based on an ASP.NET (version 2.0 or higher) development platform, using C# programming language.

    • Strong engineering and design skills (e.g., Objected-Oriented Analysis & Design, efficient frameworks, patterns, reusability, etc.).

    • Minimum of 8 years experience with SQL database language and concepts.

    • Some of the following skills: HTML/XML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, Web Security and Authentication/Certification, etc.


    Related Skills, as many of the following are important:

    • Knowledgeable of current web trends and able to recommend new technologies.

    • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

    • Demonstrated teaming skills/project management skills.

    • Industry experience in the full lifecycle of software development (from planning to maintenance).

    • Adept at working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

    • Experience providing consultation, technical assistance and influence to other groups/teams.

    • Experienced in current development process methodologies such as Agile/SCRUM.

    • Ability to function in a team lead role and assume responsibility for completing projects, and able to make sound decisions based on breadth of knowledge and experience.

    • Well developed mentoring skills (excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills).

    • Strong multi-tasking ability, adaptable, and able to effectively manage change.


    Compensation: $90K - 110K + Bonus
